One year ago today, we opened our doors with the promise of coffee and community. Coffee is important, but it’s community that drives what we do. Our café was built with the investment of dozens of members of our greater community. As we had hoped, […]
Those recently meandering down Parkside may have noticed something “perking up” at Russell and Parkside. North Buffalo can soon add a cafe to its list of new hot spots – Jam is set to open this fall. The twist? The cafe will be a Benefit Corporation […]

One year ago today, we opened our doors with the promise of coffee and community. Coffee is important, but it’s community that drives what we do. Our café was built with the investment of dozens of members of our greater community.
As we had hoped, we’ve seen new avenues to serve our community develop and prosper within our walls and we look forward to see that continue… But for now, it’s coffee and community in a way none of us could have imagined a year ago.
As we find our way together, we hope you’ll join us in the pride we feel for our great coffee, our great community, and our efforts to keep both going with health, safety, and well-being as our top priorities.
For just shy of a year, we’ve watched neighbors become friends at our community table. We love what that space brings to our cafe and our community, but until things get back to normal, we’ve decided it’s best to pull those tables apart. Like many […]

We hope you’ll help JAM help others in the days leading up to Thanksgiving, as JAM is proud to participate in Pie It Forward Buffalo! 2019.
For the last seven years, Maureen Griffin Tomczak has organized the community baking event which collects pies to include in Thanksgiving meals delivered to veterans, the elderly, and families in need all across Western New York by the Buffalo City Mission.
To join us, simply bring a pie to JAM on Saturday, November 23 or Sunday, November 24 between 11am and 3pm.
Pies can be homemade or store bought, and should be delivered ready to serve and individually wrapped in plastic wrap, aluminum foil or boxes from the store/bakery.
Nothing says Thanksgiving like a nice piece of pie—
and making sure all our neighbors have a piece to dig into is a great way to show how thankful we are.
Pies will be collected and brought to the Buffalo City Mission, and delivered on BCM’s Turkey Express for the homebound. This year’s goal is 1,000 pies, and we can do it with your help.

More than “just a muffin,” it’s a muffin with a hard-boiled egg baked inside. Makes a great breakfast. Maybe even a nice light lunch if you’re lucky enough to still find one in our pastry case that late in the day. Seven days a week, […]
